SMA First Infant Milk; SMA's best alternative to breast milk, if you cannot or choose not to breast feed, from birth onwards. Breastfeeding provides the best start for your baby but if you decide not to, or choose to combination feed, choose SMA First Infant Milk which is nutritionally complete with Omega 3 & 6 LCP's* and similarly structured to the fat found in breast milk. In a baby's first six month of life, their weight usually doubles, so by feeding them with SMA First Infant Formula Milk you are ensuring your child receives the right amount of protein and key nutrients to support them.

SMA recommend their First Infant Milk when baby is not being breastfed or to combination feed because, SMA First Infant Milk has a fat and protein profile that more closely resembles that found in breast milk, and may help produce a softer stool consistency, closer to that of a breastfed baby. The infant formula milk is whey domiant and enriched with Alpha-protein; a high quality protein abundant in breast milk. There are lower levels of beta-protein compared with other first infant milks, which is not present at all in breast milk. SMA First Infant Milk contains nucleotides (a component found in DNA, beneficial for times of rapid growth) to support immune system development and is also gently to babies immature kidneys.
